So, I called USCIS this morning. The lady at the other side of the line told me that I have to reapply, and unless I have a real emergency (as defined by USCIS), I have to wait for another 6-8 months for the AP to be reissued.
Let that be a lesson to you.

Hi there.....Even I want to find out if I-131 (AP) can be RENEWED without paying the fee when I-485 has been filed with the new fee structure. The USCIS site has not mentioned anything regarding the renewal fee for I-131 in this case (whereas it is clearly mentioned for the EAD). Is there anyone who can share his/her experience of AP renewal without paying the fee?

Hi all,

I am in a confusing situation would really appreciate some suggestions.

I am the primary applicant and my spouse is the beneficiary for the 485 applications that were sent on July 07. I have received a RFE on my 140. My PD is 12/2004 EB3-India.

My spouse company may be willing to apply for her under EB1C. I have a few questions:

1. Can she apply for 140/485 simultaneously? (I heard concurrent applications are not possible)
2. Can the existing 485s be jeopardized by the new 485s?
3. Do we need to go in for FP and do our Medicals again if we apply for 485s again or are they going to reuse what we have already sent?
4. Do we need to withdraw the existing 485s at some point of time
5. Is this worth the hassel of complicating the applications?

Please help!

I have married my wife last friday. we have been living together for almost two years and own a home together for 6 months. I have been in the stats on A2 visa up until now (3.5 years). I have the doctor's letter on hand and I want to apply for my adjustment of status by early next week. I was told that I will ( MUST LIKELY) receive my I-131 travel document approved in no earlier than 3 months from the time of filling. I have bought tickets to go with my wife to New-Zealand for our best friends wedding on november 5th which means I won't have the travel document on hand in time.

What can I do?

Please help me!

Lou Dobbs said on Thursday he is considering career options including possible runs for the White House or U.S. Senate. Dobbs has drawn fire from Latino leaders and civil rights groups for frequent on-air remarks about U.S. border control and immigration that critics saw as demonizing illegal immigrants. My parents are planning to apply for visitor visa. My aunt (dad's sister) has applied a immigrant petition for him about 4 years back and it is still in process. If my dad applies for a visitor visa which is non-immigrant intent, will he face any issues with issuance of visitor visa ?

1. You can start a business. But you can't work or spend time on it. Just spend money and some one can run it. Silent owner.
2. Same applicable for H4.

If you have EAD, H1 & H4 can work in your own business and work in current H1.

H1 & H4 (without EAD) forget about starting business and sit in your own company/shop/gas station etc.... & MAKE MONEY. This is the fact.

Question: Can person A on an H1B start own business while continuing to work with current H1B job? Can the business be not related to ones profession? Can a person on H4 visa start his won business too? Any answer is appreciated!
